A star with the football and basketball teams and a key member of the 1930 gridiron championship team, Reynolds also excelled at tennis, curling and badminton. He was nominated for a Rhodes Scholarship. After graduation, he made a solid reputation as a member of the Balmy Beach football team. In a 1955 poll, Reynolds was selected as one of McMaster's all-time football greats.
