McMASTER ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
Jeremy Groenveld is recognized as one of the most accomplished athletes in McMaster volleyball history. Competing for the Marauders from 2006 to 2011, Jeremy earned four OUA All-Star selections and was twice named a CIS All-Canadian, reflecting his elite performance at both the provincial and national levels. His leadership and dominance on the court helped guide McMaster to three OUA Championship titles and a fourth-place finish at the national championships.
A standout in the front row, Jeremy consistently ranked among the top scorers in the country, setting program benchmarks and elevating the team’s competitive edge. His impact extended beyond McMaster, as he proudly represented Canada at the 2008 FIVB U21 World Beach Volleyball Championships in Brighton, UK, finishing fifth with his partner. After graduation, Jeremy continued his volleyball journey professionally in Austria, further demonstrating his dedication to the sport and leaving a lasting legacy as both a Marauder and a Canadian athlete.
