Ev was a member of the basketball, volleyball and swim teams in each of her three years and also spent one season on the varsity tennis team. In addition to her competitive efforts, Ev served as president of the Women's Athletic Council. She was the recipient of a special merit award for her service to women's athletics and in 1953 was awarded the prestigious Edna Guest Trophy.
