In addition to being a top ice hockey player, Lois competed in varsity badminton and field hockey while at McMaster. She captained the ice hockey Marauders to consecutive O.W.I.A.A. finals in 1976 and 1977, winning the championship in 1976. In her final year she was named recipient of the Edna Guest Award. Lois returned to McMaster after graduation to coach both field hockey and ice hockey.
