Bud was on championship basketball teams in 1936 and 1937 and on championship football teams in three of his four years at Mac, including a Canadian championship in 1935. He also served as assistant to Athletic Director Arthur Burridge. He later played with the Hamilton Tigers and was involved in minor football and basketball as an official.
