Dr. David Levy is a pioneering figure in McMaster Athletics and sport medicine in Ontario. In 1978, he founded the McMaster Athletic Injury Clinic, laying the foundation for athlete care and injury prevention on campus. As team physician, Dr. Levy supported countless Marauder athletes, combining clinical expertise with a deep commitment to wellness and performance.

His influence extends well beyond McMaster. Dr. Levy has served as medical staff for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Rock, and as faculty in McMaster’s Department of Family Medicine, helping shape sport medicine across the province.

In 2015, Dr. Levy returned to McMaster as a Sport Medicine Physician at the David Braley Sport Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre. There, he continues to care for athletes of all ages and levels, embodying the values of excellence, compassion, and mentorship. His legacy is reflected in the generations of athletes and professionals he has supported, and his enduring impact on the Marauder community remains profound.
