'Steamer' played five years on varsity football and basketball teams, won four McMaster Honour M awards, competed in the pole vault, the shot put and the javelin, twice won the Chancellor's medal for track and field, and was a gymnast. Regarded as one o f the best all-round athletes to ever play for Mac, Stanley also helped coach the football team
