McMASTER ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
After one season with the McMaster women's basketball team, McIntyre turned her sights to golf in her second year and became a Marauder pioneer. Initially trying out for the men's golf team, she became the original and only member of the McMaster women's golf team. While the OUA did not contest a women's team championship until 2005, McIntyre captured the OUA women's individual golf title twice in 2002 and 2003, competing as the only golfer on the Marauder team. Also impressive in the classroom, Katie was a three-time Marauder Scholar, being recognized for her outstanding academic performance. In 2005, McIntyre was recognized with the Edna Guest Award, presented to a graduating athlete that displays ability, leadership, and the spirit of McMaster.
