Small but mighty describes Ev. A diminutive basketball player, she had the ability to score from anywhere on the floor. Her athletic talents crossed over to the tennis and volleyball courts where she led by example. She was awarded the Dr. Edna Guest Trophy in 1955 for exemplifying the "spirit of McMaster", and was also given an "M" Award for her outstanding athletic abilities. She was a member of the Women's Athletic Council throughout her years at Mac, and served as Women's Athletic President in 1954-55. Ev is a real estate sales representative for the Burlington and Hamilton areas. She is married to Ron Chapman (56), and has three children and five grandchildren.
