Selection Criteria

- must be an 'M' letter holder ( minimum of 2 years varsity participation )
- must be a graduate of McMaster University
- must have graduated at least 10 years prior to nomination for consideration for induction*.
- must have significant provincial (OUA - If highest standard of athletic participation), or
national championship (CIS) credentials on athletic resume to be even considered for nomination.
- may be awarded posthumously
- selected by Hall of Fame Selection Committee

*Members of the Hall of Fame Committee shall be empowered to make exceptions to the 10 year
waiting period should the decision to do so be approved by 100% of the committee)

- must have competed with distinction at the highest level of competition available to the team (OUA/CIS)
- may include national or international competition
- normally a five year waiting period before nomination
- selected by Hall of Fame Committee

- coaches, trainers, managers, faculty members, athletic
administrative staff and financial supporters who have contributed
significantly to the development of an athletic team, or the
Athletics and Recreation program
- nominations can be made by anyone, but selection reserved for
Athletics and Recreation Department in consultation with the
University
