Kim Walton '96, PhD & MD '05 

Kim always had a knack for swimming. At the early age of 5 she was already in the pool. She swam 6 seasons with the varsity team earning numerous OUAA and CIAU medals. Kim was named a co-captain in her 1994/95 season where she went on to earn an OUAA all-star award. She not only excelled in the pool, but in the classroom as well, receiving Academic All-Canadian recognition in back to back seasons (1994/95 and 1995/96). After completing her 5 years of eligibility with the swim team, Kim joined the McMaster waterpolo team, while she completed her PhD and her medical degree.
