In wrestling, the world was Larry's stage. He was twice awarded the Ivor Wynne Trophy as male athlete of the year and he won the CIAU 61 kg three times. Class. Larry also wrestled internationally while at Mac; he participated in the '82 Commonwealth Games and the '84 Olympics and twice was a World Team member. He was Canadian Open Champion in '82, '83 and '84 and after graduation he continued to compete globally, including another Olympic appearance in '88.
