93.3 CFMU to broadcast Marauder Football home games in 2025

HAMILTON — McMaster Athletics & Recreation is excited to announce a new partnership with 93.3 CFMU, McMaster's campus and community radio station, to carry live audio broadcasts of all Marauder home football games during the 2025 season.

CFMU has been a fixture on McMaster's campus and in the Hamilton community for decades, providing a platform for student voices, diverse programming, and local storytelling. This partnership brings Marauder Football into that mix, giving fans across Hamilton and beyond another way to follow the team live each week on 93.3 FM and CFMU.ca.

"This partnership reflects our commitment to building meaningful connections on campus and in the community," said Keenan Jeppesen, Director of Athletics & Recreation at McMaster University. "CFMU is a valued platform for student voices, and we're excited to have Marauder Football be part of their programming this season."

The partnership also aligns with CFMU's increased commitment to sports coverage, broadening the scope of their programming while providing another avenue for fans to engage with Marauder Athletics.

"CFMU has a long history with Marauder Football," says Jamie Tennant, Program Director at CFMU. "It's exciting to be back, bringing games to Mac students, alumni, and football fans across the city of Hamilton."

"CFMU has been part of the soundtrack of McMaster since 1963," said Jay Barlett, Communications & Media Specialist for the Marauders. "Pairing Marauder Football with a station built by and for our campus community just makes sense."

Fans will also recognize the familiar broadcast team of Matthew Davison (play-by-play) and Andrew Barlett (colour commentary), who return to call the action from Ron Joyce Stadium this fall.

The Marauders open their home schedule on Saturday, August 30 against the Queen's Gaels at 1:00 p.m. Fans can tune in live on 93.3 FM or listen online at CFMU.ca.
