Hamilton, Ont. - The McMaster women's lacrosse team had two games this past weekend in continuing their 2011 season.
They fell to the Queen's Gaels 11-5 on Saturday morning in the first of two games that day. Goal scorers for the Marauders included Lindsay Hamilton (Mississauga, Ont.) with two, Jackie Heaton (Peterborough, Ont.), Sarah Hampel (Burlington, Ont.) and Stephanie Savoie (Oakville, Ont.).
Later that day. McMaster played their second game, losing out to the Guelph Gryphons 12-6. Heaton scored two more for the weekend, Stephanie Ball (Brampton, Ont.) got two for the Marauders and Cleo Duffy (Orillia, Ont.) and Ruby Gatt (Avondale, PA) both score one each in the loss.
The Marauders host teams on Alumni Field in the last weekend before the OUA Championships. On Saturday, McMaster takes on the Western Mustangs at 9am and has a rematch with the Guelph Gryphons at 215pm. On Sunday the Marauders play another two games, the first being a match up against the Laurier Golden Hawks at 9am and a second game at 4pm against Western.
