Box Score Providing a convincing defence of their new no. 2 ranking, the Marauders stayed perfect in OUA play Friday with a convincing sweep of the Queen's Gaels (25-14, 25-16, 25-15). Mac moved to 16-0 in conference play, with just one match remaining before the onset of the playoffs.
Jayson McCarthy led the charge for the Marauders with a team-leading 15 points. Danny Demyanenko tallied 13, while Brandon Koppers added 11 points of his own.
Queens' Marcus Trence paced his squad in points. The OUA leader in total attacks had 10 points on the night.
Stifling any effort from the visitors to mount offence, McMaster held Queen's to just 18 kills versus 23 errors on Friday. Meanwhile, the home side racked up 38 kills and committed just 10 errors in the win.
McMaster has one remaining game in their OUA regular season schedule, battling the RMC Paladins Saturday at the Burridge Gym. The match is scheduled for 8 p.m.
