MARAUDERS MAKE A COMEBACK FOR WIN OVER GAELS IN FIVE

Kingston, Ont. - The McMaster men's volleyball team took down the Queen's Gaels in a five set match on the road on Saturday night. Set scores in the comeback win for the Marauders were 21-25, 15-25, 25-22, 26-24 and 15-11.

After losing the first two sets and looking like it was over, the Marauders fought back to earn the third set win. Taking the game to extra points in the fourth, McMaster forced the fifth set after winning 26-24. In the fifth, the Marauders would solidify the comeback win with a 15-11 set score.

Kevin Stevens had a team-high 14 points in the win including 13 kills, one ace and ten digs. Setter TJ Sanders also had ten digs in the win and recorded 41 assists. Jori Mantha hit double digit numbers as well, scoring 12 points including 11 kills and an ace.

For the Gaels, Joren Zeeman had a game-high 21 points, all in kills. Michael Amoroso had another 17 points in the Gaels' loss with 11 kills, four blocks and two aces. Setter Jackson Dakin recorded 46 assists and Will Sidgwick had another 11 points for Queen's with nine kills, an ace and a block.

The Marauders finish off the first half of their season with a home game against the Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in Burridge Gymnasium.
