Kingston, Ont. - The Marauders men's volleyball team was on the road to take on the RMC Paladins in their first game of weekend matches in Kingston.
The Paladins were easily taken down by McMaster in three with scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-19.
Rookie Daniel Groenveld recorded a game-high 12 points in the three set win, recording 10 kills, one ace and one block. Middle Alex Elliott added another 11 points for the Marauders with nine kills, one ace and one block. Shayne Petrusma and Michael Sjonnesen also had nine points for McMaster in their fifth win of the season.
Tyler Leknois was the only effective Paladin on the night with 10 points.
The Marauders take on their rivals, the Queen's Gaels Saturday night for their second game of the weekend series.
