Guelph, Ont. - The McMaster men's volleyball team recorded their second three-set win of the weekend by taking down the Guelph Gryphons on the road. Set scores in favour of the Marauders were 25-20, 25-22, 25-16.
McMaster's Jeremy Groenveld (Welland, Ont.) had another double-digit night with 15 points, all in kills. Middle Michael Sjonnesen (Cambridge, Ont.) had another nine for the Marauders with the majority of those points coming from blocks. Kevin Stevens (Winnipeg, Man.) was also big at the net for the Marauders with seven kills and a block.
The only effective players for the Gryphons were Andrew Whitaker (Sharon, Ont.) and Winston Rosser (Whitby, Ont.) with 13 and 9 points, respectively.
The Marauders continue on the road next Friday with a match-up against the Ryerson Rams.
