Toronto - The McMaster women's lacrosse team had a winning weekend, beating out the UOIT Ridgebacks in their second regular season game in Toronto this weekend.

The Rigebacks opened up the scoring in the game but McMaster would respond with three goals of their own to go up 3-1. Jackie Heaton (Peterborough, Ont.) scored two and another came from Marauder Lindsay Hamilton (Mississauga, Ont.). 

UOIT would score two more to tie it up with ten minutes left in the half, keeping the game close. Fortunately, the Marauders would score four more before the half ended, another coming from Heaton, two from Sarah Hampel (Burlington, Ont.) and one from Ruby Gatt (Scottsdale, AZ).

In the second half, the Marauders held the Ridgebacks scoreless and would score another five for a final score of 12-3. Heaton would score another for a total of four goals in the game. Hampel score another one for McMaster, and Stephanie Ball (Brampton, Ont.), Kyra Reilly (Mississauga, Ont.) and Cleo Duffy (Orillia, Ont.) all added to the cause for a goal each.

The Marauders take on the Guelph Gryphons and the Queen's Gaels next weekend.
