Toronto - The McMaster women's lacrosse team beat the Toronto Varsity Blues on their home turf on Saturday 12-7.

In the win, Cleo Duffy (Orillia, Ont.) opened up the scoring early followed by two goals from Jackie Heaton (Peterborough, Ont.).

Down 5-3 at half, the Marauders pulled back in the second with huge scoring opportunites that they would capitalize on. Heaton would score four more for a total of six goals in the game and Duffy would score two more for a total of three. 

Also scoring in the second half for McMaster was Ruby Gatt (Avondale, PA) with back to back goals of her own and Lindsay Hamilton (Mississauga, Ont.) with one. 

The Marauders play Sunday against the UOIT Ridgebacks.
