On a day when several McMaster defenders stood tall, Mark Mackie had the best game of his varsity career. The second-year defensive lineman registered three quarterback sacks, leading a Marauder's pass rush that had nine as a team. Mackie also led McMaster with five solo tackles and was selected as the Mitchell Bowl Player of the Game.

During the regular season, Mackie ranked fourth on his team with 21.5 tackles and also had 2.5 sacks -- a number he has far surpassed in the postseason, recording four in the Marauders three playoff games.
