The second-year Kinesiology major from Richmond, BC provided the high point for the Marauders at the OUA Figure Skating Championship, hosted by the Western Mustangs on March 6 and 7, and was named as a conference all-star as a result.

Mao won McMaster’s lone gold medal of the two-day championship, topping the podium in the Senior Silver Solo Dance event. Her podium place was one of five total medals claimed by the Marauders in London, as McMaster finished fourth as a team and just three ranking points back of the bronze-medal-winning Brock Badgers.
