Fresh from setting a pair of OUA records two weeks earlier, Olivvya Chow made her final national championship meet one to remember.
The fifth-year senior from Surrey, BC won a pair of medals, including silver in the 100m breast stroke (1:08.60) and bronze in the 50m event (31.65), to provide both of McMaster’s podium finishes at the U SPORTS Championships in Toronto.
She also contributed legs to all three of McMaster’s relay efforts, including the 4x100m and 4x200m freestyle and 4x100m medley, helping the Marauders to a fourth-placed finish and near miss of the podium in the medley relay.
Chow’s contributions paved the way for McMaster’s eventual seventh-placed finish in the women’s team standings.
