Marauders announce Y108 as new radio broadcast partner for football

Hamilton, Ont. – McMaster University Athletics & Recreation is excited to announce Y108 as the official radio broadcast partner for Marauder Football. Starting this season, Y108 will air all home games live from Ron Joyce Stadium, along with select road matchups, bringing the action and tradition of Marauder Football to fans throughout the region.

This partnership enhances how fans can experience Marauder Football, providing greater access to live broadcasts and ensuring that our supporters never miss a moment of the action. Y108's strong presence in Hamilton and the surrounding areas makes them a perfect fit for connecting with our passionate fan base through both FM radio and online streaming.

Steve Clark (Play-by-Play) and Pete Dyakowski (Colour) will return to call the action, bringing passion, expertise, and energy to the broadcasts, continuing the tradition of high-quality coverage that Marauder fans have come to expect.

"We're thrilled to team up with Y108 to deliver Marauder Football to our fans in an even more dynamic way," said Jay Barlett, Communications and Marketing Coordinator for the McMaster Marauders. "With Steve and Pete returning to the radio, our fans can expect one of the highest quality FM radio listening experiences and in-depth analysis throughout the OUA this football season."

Fans in southwestern Ontario can tune in at 107.9FM, or from anywhere in the world at y108.ca or on the Radioplayer Canada app. 

"We are excited to bring the action of McMaster Marauders Football to Hamilton's Rock - Y108" said Dave Blezard, Regional Program Director for Corus Entertainment. "McMaster University is an integral part of our city and this partnership is a great way to keep Hamilton engaged and connected for the upcoming Marauders season."

The Marauders will open the 2024 season this Saturday, Aug. 24, as they host the Laurier Golden Hawks at Ron Joyce Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
