TORONTO – On Saturday night, the Marauders fell in a close 19-17 game against the Varsity Blues in Toronto.
McMaster came out strong in the first half, scoring the first try of the game. On offense, fourth year Taylor Wood led McMaster with two tries, while first year Liona Ndayishimiye scored one try. Supporting the offense, Chayse Palfi was able to complete one conversion for the Marauders in the game.
McMaster was trailing after the first half, 12-5, but with two more tries and a conversion in the second half, they were able to gain a small lead. An unfortunate penalty against the Marauders near the end of the second half allowed the Varsity Blues to pass McMaster on the score board with a penalty try, leaving the final score at 19-17 for the home team.
