HAMILTON, Ont. - The McMaster Marauders, the No. 10 ranked team in the country, will finish out the 2022 OUA regular season at home on Friday night against another nationally-ranked opponent. After defeating the York Lions 47-10 last weekend, the Marauders will face the No. 8 Brock Badgers.

October 7th, 2022 @ 7pm
The Marauders and Badgers last met on October 16, 2021 in St. Catharines. The maroon and grey won that contest 19-12 and McMaster will look to repeat that result this weekend.
Last Saturday in Toronto, the Marauders surged in the second half against the host York Lions. This week, McMaster will face a team that shares the same record (3-2) and sits tied with the Marauders in third position in the OUA standings. The OUA standings are tight this year and with five games to be played this weekend, the final standings and playoff picture are still to be determined so the final match-ups on the schedule will be crucial.
Brock (3-2) will look to extend its three game win streak after defeating Waterloo (29-3), York (59-12) and Toronto (14-10).
Last Time Out
Ila Bett (Keswick, Ont.) opened the scoring for the Marauders six minutes into the game to take an early lead.
Jill Cope (Newmarket, Ont.) and
Taylor Wood (Uxbridge, Ont.) each scored tries in the first half while captain,
Katie McLeod (Richmond Hill, Ont.), added two conversions to lead the York Lions 19-3 at the half. After the break, McMaster continued the momentum, combining for an additional 28 points in the second half. Despite a late score by the Lions, the Marauders were out of reach, easily securing the win.
McLeod has scored in each of the Marauders' games this season and will look to continue her streak this Friday night.
