Box Score Typical of their contests of the last few years, the latest match between the Marauders and Gryphons was not short of action, even if it did lack a goal. McMaster and Guelph battled to a scoreless draw on Friday night, as Mac remained unbeaten through three OUA matches, despite dropping points on the road.
The Marauders have yet to concede a goal in 2016, with Kieran Doyle-Davis keeping his third clean sheet of the young season.
There was, however, no shortage of drama, with the two teams combining for 11 yellow cards, including a second to Marauders rookie Matt Monteiro that saw him ejected from the match in the final minute of regulation. McMaster was carded six times, while Guelph was awarded five yellows.
The two teams were dead even on the box score, with four shots on goal each and a matching number of saves for keepers Doyle-Davis and Ben Caranci.
Friday's was Mac's only match of the weekend, as they look ahead to an OUA final rematch against the York Lions at home at Ron Joyce Stadium on Wednesday, September 7. That match gets underway at 8:15 p.m. following the preceding women's match. Admission for all Marauders soccer games is free.
