Three Marauders were among those announced on Friday as the Canadian Football League unveiled its 2016 Combine invitees, while three others will attend the regional combine in Toronto.
Veteran running back Wayne Moore, slotback/running back Declan Cross and offensive lineman Zach Intzandt will represent McMaster at the main combine from March 11-13, while the trio of defensive back Keldyn Ahlstedt, defensive lineman Mike Kashak and linebacker Kyle Fitzsimons will head to the Toronto regional combine a day earlier.
Last year, 11 players from regional combines were extended an invitation to the National CFL Combine including seven of those players being selected in the 2015 CFL Draft. 12 of the first 13 selections from the 2015 CFL Draft participated in the National CFL Combine last year.
The CFL, with input from all teams, will then invite additional players from the regional combines to the national Combine in Toronto depending on player performance. Each regional combine will invite approximately 40 to 45 football players.
The top players eligible for the upcoming 2016 CFL Draft, as ranked collectively by the teams and the league office, are invited to attend the National CFL Combine.
