WOMEN'S RUGBY: MAC DOMINATES ON THE ROAD IN 67-5 WIN OVER TRENT

McMaster continues to show why they remain ranked No.1 in the CIS, defeating Trent 67-5 at Justin Chiu Stadium.

The Marauders improved their record to 4-0 on the season, with just one game remaining before heading into the playoffs.

Maddi Cohoon led the Marauders with a pair of tries and Sara Svoboda added four converts. Svoboda sits 6th in the OUA scoring race, with having earned 35 points this season.

The second half saw many of McMaster's younger talent take the pitch and this was an excellent example of how the team has grown for 5th year second row, Rachael Van Fraassen.

"We have a lot of depth and it's amazing to see so many different players step up and take on different roles. We, of course, have a long-term goal of winning a championship, but in the short-term we are able to see just what our teammates are capable of."

Head coach Shaun Allen hopes to carry this momentum into McMaster's last regular season game and into the playoffs.

"We really want to build off of this game and how our team has performed and supported each other on the pitch. We have proven that we can play with with a lot of width, skill, and speed and this will help propel us into the playoffs."

NEXT UP: McMaster will travel to London on Thursday, October 6th to take on the Western Mustangs.
