McMASTER QUARTERBACK BROADCASTS BASKETBALL DOUBLEHEADER IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP WIN

McMaster University starting quarterback Marshall Ferguson didn't have much time to celebrate his Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Football Yates Cup Championship victory on Saturday.

Ferguson, sports director at campus radio station CFMU 93.3, swapped his helmet and pads for a headset to call the McMaster basketball doubleheader against the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Saturday night.

With his on field exploits being broadcast on OUA.tv while he helped lead the Marauders to their third conference football championship title in four seasons. Ferguson was back on
OUA.tv approximately an hour and a half later, but as a broadcaster.

After celebrating with his teammates, visiting with his family, and a brief stop at the CFMU studios to review the nights technical setup, Ferguson took the play-by-play seat in the Burridge Gymnasium for a simulcast on CFMU and OUA.tv. The women's game tipped off at 6:00 pm followed by the men's game at 8:00 pm.

A fifth year senior, Ferguson hopes to continue in the field of broadcasting when he concludes his final year at McMaster. He currently hosts a weekly Marauder Sports show on CFMU, and has created a weekly Youtube spin off of that radio show.
