The McMaster women's rugby team will open the OUA playoffs on Friday, October 10^th versus the Trent University Excalibur.  The game is being shifted from McMaster's 10-Acre Field to Ron Joyce Stadium and has a 3 p.m. start time.

The Marauders are in some lofty territory, having completed an undefeated OUA schedule, which clinched first place in the Russell Division and homefield advantage through the playoffs.  The team also moved up to the No. 2 position in the weekly CIS Top-Ten rankings. 

The Marauders faced Trent in the opening game of the season on September 5^th in Peterborough, and enjoyed an early lead before the game was called off due to lightning, resulting in a 1-0 win for McMaster.  Trent finished in fourth place in the Russell Division with 2 wins and 3 losses.

A Marauder victory on Friday will advance the team to an OUA semi-final at McMaster on October 18^th against the lowest remaining seed from the Shiels Division.
