Two goals in the game's final 10 minutes saw the Marauders past the Lancers in Windsor on Sunday.
Nic Vecchi broke the scoreless deadlock in the 82nd minute, and Nate Morris doubled McMaster's lead in stoppage time, as the Marauders defeated the Lancers 2-0.
Goalkeeper Angelo Cavalluzzo stopped all four shots that he faced and turned in the Marauders eighth clean sheet of the season.
With the result, the Marauders strengthened their hold on second place in the OUA West standings, sitting on 30 points with two games to play, while the Guelph Gryphons boast 27 with three matches remaining. Sealing second would give McMaster a bye through the first round of the conference playoffs.
The Marauders will conclude their season this coming weekend, when they travel to Sault Ste. Marie to battle the winless Algoma Thunderbirds.
