VINCIC PULLS MARAUDERS LEVEL AS MCMASTER AND WESTERN DRAW IN LONDON

Box Score After conceding an early goal on the road, the Marauders responded quickly and ground out a 1-1 draw with the Western Mustangs in London on Saturday.

Chuka Ononye opened the scoring in just the sixth minute for the Mustangs (8-4-2), but the Marauders (8-2-3) answered in the 18th through defender Aleks Vincic to level the match.

The result did little to alter the landscape in the OUA West, where the Marauders remain tied with the Guelph Gryphons for second on 27 points and the Mustangs sit a point back in fourth.

In a defensive battle on Saturday, the two teams managed just five shots on goal between them, with Western keeper Ben Cowman making two saves and McMaster's Angelo Cavalluzzo just one.

The Marauders continue their road trip tomorrow, when they visit the Windsor Lancers for a contest set to get underway at 3:15 p.m.
