It was a match-up of two top-ten teams but the Guelph women’s rugby team showed it is at another level by beating McMaster 53-8 in season opening OUA action.

Guelph entered the contest ranked 2^nd in Canada while the Marauders were 6^th in the initial top ten of the season.  The Gryphons had seven different players score tries, led by Brittany Benn who scored three times.

The Marauders’ only try was scored by Maggie Cogger-Orr. 

McMaster will be back on the pitch at York, this Sunday, September 9^th.
