The McMaster men’s soccer team got two goals from Mark Reilly and picked up a 2-1 win over the Brock Badgers in St. Catharines.
Currently ranked 5
th in the latest CIS top-ten, the Marauders were looking for a third straight victory and got on the board first when Reilly scored in the 16
th minute of the first half.
The Mac striker found the net a second time in the game’s 72
nd minute and the Marauders grabbed a two-goal advantage.
The Badgers got on the board on a goal by Sam Orlando in the 83
rd minute to edge closer, but the Marauders were able to protect their lead though full time. Reilly’s two goals give him four through the team’s first seven games.
McMaster improves its record to 6 wins and 1 loss and is tied with York for first in the OUA West.
The Marauders are back on the pitch on Sunday, September 23
rd at Wilfrid Laurier.
