REILLY SCORES HAT TRICK IN WIN OVER WARRIORS

Hamilton, Ont. - The McMaster men's soccer team won their ninth game of the season over the Waterloo Warriors at Ron Joyce Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Forward Mark Reilly (Hamilton, Ont.) scored a hat trick in the process to total ten goals on the season thus far.

McMaster's first goal of the game came in the eleventh minute. A cross from defender Robert Schlosser (Stoney Creek, Ont.) from the left sideline would pass Paterson Farrell (Oakville, Ont.) and find Reilly's foot. The ball would find the back of the net for Reilly's eighth of the season.

Reilly's ninth and tenth goals of the season would follow suit. His first would come in the 35th minute and with just five minutes left in the half, Reilly would complete the hat trick, receiving a pass from a fellow Marauder and seeing an open net.

In the second half, McMaster would toy with the Warriors and score a fourth goal to really seal the deal. From a corner kick, Farrell would bury the ball for a goal of his own. This is his eighth of the season. McMaster's fifth goal of the game would come from Muntazir Fadhel (Richmond Hill, Ont.) in the 80th minute. Nate Morris (Mississauga, Ont.) would score McMaster's sixth in extra time.

Reilly's three goals place him third on the top scorers list in the OUA and Farrell currently sits at fourth. McMaster's ninth win of the season sits them comfortably at second in the OUA West with 28 points.

The Marauders are in action next against the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday October 13 at 1pm. The last time these two teams played on September 15, the Marauders won the match up by a score of 3-1.
