MARAUDERS WIN OUA BRONZE MEDAL OVER WATERLOO WARRIORS

Waterloo, Ont. - The McMaster women's rugby team won the OUA Bronze medal on Saturday afternoon as they took on the Waterloo Warriors. In front of Waterloo's home crowd, McMaster stunned them 26-8 in their final match of the season.

In a defensive first half, the Marauders were held to just one try, from Claire Lockhart (Waterloo, Ont.), and one convert, from Stephanie Black (Ottawa,  Ont.). On the other end of the field, they gave up just a penalty goal to Warrior Nastasha Vrablic (Cambridge, Ont.).

The Marauders then scored a try from Hannah Braithwaite (Kingston, Ont.) and Black would get her second convert of the game to go up 14-3.

The home team would then march down the field and score their only try of the match from prop Briana Cunnginham (Waterloo, Ont.).

From then on out, McMaster went on to score two more tries, from Sarah Berry (East York, Ont.) and another from Braithwaite, and Black would add another convert.

The Marauders finished with a score of 26-8.
