Hamilton, Ont. - The McMaster men's soccer teams continues to dominate this season with a win over the Brock Badgers on Friday night.
The Marauders kept the ball in their possession most of the game, scoring a total of five goals against the Badgers. McMaster's first goal came from Paterson Farrell (Oakville, Ont.) in the 24th minute. The forward got a good touch off a through pass to score the first goal of the game.
Just four minutes later, the Marauders would strike again, this time the goal came from inside midfielder Aaron Boothe (Whitby, Ont.). McMaster would end the half with a 2-0 lead.
In the second half, the Marauders would score three more time. The first came from rookie midfielder Brandon Gutierrez (Brampton, Ont.) in the 54th minute, the second from Dan Niksic (Stoney Creek, Ont.) ten minutes later, and the third from forward Gersi Xhuti (Etobicoke, Ont.) in the 78th minute.
Rookie goal keeper Angelo Cavalluzzo (Hamilton, Ont.) got the shut out for the Marauders in the win.
The Marauders take on the UOIT Ridgebacks on Saturday night with only three games to go in the regular season. McMaster sits just one point behind the York Lions who lead the OUA West division.
