Bald led the Marauder men's swimmers at the OUA Championships with two gold medals – and four podium finishes in total – while setting a new provincial record in the 50m breaststroke. The Marauder veteran demonstrated his mastery of the stroke, winning gold at both 50 and 100 metres, and was a part of two silver medal-winning freestyle relays (200m and 400m). Bald's efforts were a central part of McMaster's impressive team-wide showing at the Championships, as the Marauder men won team silver behind the Varsity Blues.
