Mittermaier shone at the OUA Swimming Championships in her rookie season, claiming two individual golds in freestyle (50m and 100m) and a third as a member of McMaster's 200m freestyle relay team whose finish stood as a provincial record. The first-year Marauder also added a silver medal to her tally on the final day of competition as a member of the 400m freestyle relay team, as the McMaster women finished third in the overall standings.
