Efficient and steady throughout, Holmes was a constant contributor in a pair of Marauder wins this past week, and provided the dagger in the team's Saturday comeback in Toronto. The veteran guard was 50 per cent from the floor on Wednesday, hitting four of eight field goals and adding seven points on nine attempts from the charity stripe, as McMaster defeated the Guelph Gryphons 72-64.
Holmes put up a similar stat line on Saturday, hitting four of nine field goals including two of four from three-point land, but it was her final shot that was most important. McMaster trailed by as many as 16 points to the Varsity Blues, but had dug out of that hole before Holmes' three-pointer with just over a second to play nudged the Marauders ahead for good, 72-70.
