Middle Blocker Shannon McRobert (Whitby, ON) from the women’s volleyball team is the Pita Pit Female Athlete of the Week. The fifth-year team captain led the Marauders to two important wins over the weekend, beating Guelph 3-1 on Friday night and Waterloo 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.
McRobert registerd 11 points, including seven kills, in the win over Guelph, and she was named the player of the match against Waterloo as she again registered double-figures in points with 11.5 and keyed several long service runs that kept Waterloo off-balance during the match. The two wins allowed the Marauders to move up three spots in the OUA standings.
