The third-year runner from East York, Ont. enjoyed the best performance of his career to date, finishing the 8km course at the Bill Salter Western International meet Saturday in 24:20 to score second and lead the Marauders men to team silver. His exceptional finish helped the Marauders to a team total of 50 points, just 16 off the pace set by the U SPORTS no. 1-ranked Guelph Gryphons, and 30 clear of the bronze-medal-winning Queen's Gaels. Saturday marked McGillivray's first meet as McMaster's leading scorer.
