ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — The McMaster Marauders rowing teams returned to Henley Island over the weekend to compete in the 2024 OUA Championship. The men's team matched last year's overall performance with a ninth-place finish, while the women improved to eighth.

The women's doubles pairing of Sarah Cushnie (Waterdown, Ont.) and Nathalie Hilbert (Elmira, Ont.) was very successful, finishing with the top time in heat 2 as they qualified for the finals. The pair would earn the silver medal with a time of 7:24.551, a great showing for the Marauders.

Sarah Oresnik (Winnipeg, Man.) and Brooke McCoy (Hamilton, Ont.) also had a strong day on the water with a time of 8:00.180, to earn the second medal of the day for the Marauders, this time a bronze.

The top finish on the men's side was the lightweight pairing of Trevor Tung (Etobicoke, Ont.) and Jonathan Diakopoulos (Burlington, Ont.), who earned sixth place in the men's doubles.
