McMaster at U SPORTS Swimming Championships
Saanich Commonwealth Place | Victoria, BC
February 23rd, 2023 to February 25th, 2023
After facing some of the best swimmers from the province, the Marauders will now face the top programs from across the country over the next three days. From the Pacific Coast, McMaster will be joined by the likes of the UBC Thunderbirds and Calgary Dinos, who earned the 2023 Canada West Championship banners on the women's and men's side, respectively. The UBC men are also the defending national champions. The Victoria Vikes will be hometown favourites at this week's Championships. Quebec's McGill Redbirds and Martlets will also be a force, having swept the RSEQ, winning the triple crown - women's, men's and overall competitions. Out East, the Dalhousie Tigers will look to make the most of their cross country trek, having swept the 2023 AUS Swimming Championships. In McMaster's own conference, the Toronto Varsity Blues continue to be one of the top teams in varsity waters. Both Toronto team's picked up the OUA banners a couple of weeks ago and the women are the defending national champions.

The Marauders will look to have a successful week on Vancouver Island and knock down some McMaster records in the process.
The Marauders women's team enters the U SPORTS Championships with a combination of veteran and rookie swimmers. The Marauders are coming off a fourth-place finish at the OUA Championships and with two weeks of preparation, are more than ready to show what they've got and record some season best times.
The men, meanwhile, also finished just off the overall podium with a fourth-place finish in 2023. The Marauder relay teams were impressive in London, Ont. but, this time around, it will be all about the individual performances.
