HAMILTON, Ont. – After a stellar debut to the 2023 OUA season, the undefeated Marauders prepare to face the Waterloo Warriors at home on Wednesday at 8:00 PM and then hit the road to take on the York Lions Saturday in Toronto at 6:00 PM.

The Marauders and the Warriors met twice during the 2021-22 season, with the first match-up occurring in November. The Marauder men beat Warriors in three quick sets. These teams then met up for a second time in February. McMaster dropped the Warriors three sets to none for a second time (25-20, 25-18, 25-17). Most recently, the Marauders and Warriors battled in November, with the Marauders winning 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 25-16, 25-18).
The Waterloo Warriors are currently 2-8, and are ranked tenth in the OUA. Waterloo is coming off of a strong weekend, having dropped the RMC Paladins in back to back matches (25-18, 25-15, 25-13, and 25-9, 25-20, 25-12).
After facing the Warriors, McMaster then travels to Toronto to take on the York Lions at 6:00 PM.

 The Marauders and the Lions last met during the 2019-20 regular season. McMaster reigned victorious, dropping the Lions three sets to none (25-12, 25-13, 25-17). This will be the first of two match-ups with the Lions for the 2022-23 regular season, with the second game taking place in February.
The fifth ranked Lions are currently 8-4. York is coming off of back to back games against the TMU Bold. The Lions took the first match in a tight game that went all five sets (25-22, 15-25, 25-22, 25-27, 15-11). In the second match up, it was the TMU Bold that took the victory, dropping the Lions 3-0 (13-25, 19-25, 17-25). Â
Currently 12-0, the first ranked Marauders are coming off of a strong weekend after winning on both Friday and Sunday of this past week. The Marauders beat the Badgers in four sets on Friday night (25-15, 18-25, 25-12, 25-15). The McMaster Men then put on a strong performance to take down the Varsity Blues in four sets (25-23, 25-21, 18-25, 25-14).
McMaster is looking strong for their upcoming games as they hope to add to their 12 game winning streak.
