HAMILTON, Ont. - For the first time in 2022, the Marauders got back on the field last weekend in an OUA competition. This weekend, McMaster is looking to improve on last week's season opener and show that they are, once again, a contender in Ontario. The Marauders will step onto the field at Ron Joyce Stadium on Saturday as they host the York Lions in the 2022 home opener.
The last time the Marauders and Lions faced off, the maroon and grey had an impressive day, taking the game by a score of 48-0 with 444 total yards of offense and recording 24 first downs in the contest. This time around, McMaster will look for a similar outcome.
The Lions (0-1) are coming off a 41-8 loss to the Waterloo Warriors in the season opener while the Marauders (0-1) fell 24-18 to the Carleton Ravens. Both teams will look to earn their first win of the 2022 campaign.
