OTTAWA - McMaster Marauder women's volleyball player Sullie Sundara was named to the U21 (Junior) National Team by Volleyball Canada ahead of the 2022 U21 Pan American Cup in Mexico.
 
"We are so proud of Sullie's hard work and determination to earn this opportunity," said women's volleyball Head Coach, Tim Louks. "Representing Canada is a huge honour, especially when the process involves a tryout camp packed with such talented athletes."
 
The first-year outside hitter had a fantastic season earing her OUA West Rookie of the Year honours and a spot on the U SPORTS All-Rookie team. Sundara ranked ninth in the OUA for kills per set, and ninth for points per set, averaging 3.7 points per set.

Twenty-two of the country's top junior players were selected for the 2022 Women's Under-21 National Training Team, which worked out from May 25-June 4 at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. From that camp, twelve players were selected to represent Canada at the 2022 Women's U21 Pan American Cup taking place June 5-13 in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
 
Team Canada opens the tournament on, June 7th, with a match against Argentina at 6:00 PM (EST) in La Paz.
