HAMILTON, Ont. – After another successful weekend, the Marauder men will look to continue their winning streak, hitting the road Friday to take on the TMU Bold and then heading to St. Catharines to battle the Brock Badgers on Sunday.

This is the first of 2 match-ups between TMU and McMaster, with the second game set to take place in February. The last time these teams met was during the 2019-2020 season where the Marauders dropped TMU 3 sets to 0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-17). The TMU Bold had a tough start to their season falling 0-3 against Western in the first two games of the season, and then falling 2-3 (25-23, 20-25, 25-23, 21-25, 12-15) in a tough battle against the Toronto Varsity Blues this past Saturday. McMaster enters this game with momentum after back-to-back wins this past weekend, first beating Western 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-17) on the road, and then beating Waterloo 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-16, 25-18) at home.

After heading to London to Toronto to take on the Bold, the Marauders then head to St. Catharines to battle against Brock.

These teams met twice during the 2021-22 season, with the Marauder men sweeping the Badgers 3-0 in back-to-back games (25-21, 26-24, 27-25 in game one, 25-18, 25-20, 25-14 in game two). The Marauders had a strong weekend, posting 92 kills, 91 assists and 11 service aces. Mac also recorded 28 total blocks (8 solo blocks, 20 block assists) to rack up a total of 121.0 points. The Brock Badgers fell 0-3 to the Guelph Gryphons this past Saturday (12-25, 14-25, 18-25) and 0-3 this past Sunday (20-25, 18-25, 24-26). McMaster and Brock at set to meet again in January. With four wins under their belts, the Marauders are looking confident for next weekend's matches.

McMaster currently sits in the No. 4 spot in the USPORTS Top 10 and look to continue to climb up the rankings.
