HAMILTON, Ont. – With just four games left on the 2022 McMaster women's soccer schedule, the Marauders are in search of their third win of the season. The maroon and grey remain unbeaten over the past five games, collecting nine points from those contests. McMaster will look to win again as they take on the York Lions at home in Ron Joyce Stadium. Game time is set for 1pm.

After a win last weekend against the Brock Badgers, the maroon and grey will look to continue the momentum and show they are a tough team to contend with this weekend against the Lions. The two teams matched up twice in 2019, both during the regular season. McMaster fell both times to the Lions. York sits third in the OUA West standings while McMaster sits four spots back in seventh. The maroon and grey will look to draw closer to York with a solid result this weekend.

McMaster beat the Brock Badgers 1-0 last Friday. Tiam Pourbakhtiari (Richmond Hill, Ont.) picked up her first goal of the 2022 OUA season, and also her first as a Marauder.

The Lions hold a 5-1-2 record after two consecutive wins against the Algoma Thunderbirds.  
 

Last Time Out

Bryanna Caldwell (Tottenham, Ont.) is the leading scorer for the Marauders with four tallies while teammates Emilie Calabrese (Ancaster, Ont.), Mia Paiement (Hamilton, Ont.), and Tiam Pourbakhtiari (Richmond Hill, Ont.) all have a goal on the season. Alexandra Mudie (Burlington, Ont.) has been impressive as the last line of defence for the Marauders with 53 saves (ranked third in the OUA) and a .883 save percentage (ranked second in the OUA).
